The launch of the opera Angel of the Amazon was a big success! I was delighted to meet Evan Mack and hear his beautiful music. Peter Stein and I arrived at the apartment of art dealer Janos Aranyi, the location for this performance. Click on the photos to see them in full-size.

Here I am with soprano Erin Greene, who sang the Sister Dorothy arias, Evan Mack the composer, and Mara Waldman.

Nancy Rhodes is the artistic director of Encompass New Opera Theatre and Mara is the music director. Mara accompanied another soloist, David Salsbery Fry, who also sang two selections.
